Dinosaur Park

In the last post I spoke about Abigail having an unnatural penchant for doing chores. The work itself is usually reward enough for her, yet we do have a reward system set up. As a reward for getting her chores done, we recently went to the Eccles Dinosaur Park here in Ogden. It is basically an outdoor dinosaur museum. On a day that was less than 100 degrees out (I think it was only about 85!) we hopped in the car and went. Everyone was very excited until we got in. Owen heard the loud dinosaur noises that are piped through the park, in conjunction with the life-size replicas and ran right back out the entrance in tears. After convincing him that the dinosaurs were in fact not real, and well, dragging him back in, we had a good time.

They have great dinosaur-themed playground, including a giant tree slide, where we spent most of our time.

This is a spot where you can dig for "fossils." Both Abigail and Owen were content to spend a good 30 minutes sitting here in the sand.
